Association of Security Consultants

Founded in 1991, the Association of Security Consultants is recognised as the professional organisation for independent security consultants, representing their interests and promoting their activities. Security is diverse, complex, and often technical. Members of the Association of Security Consultants (ASC) are leading experts in their fields and provide specialist knowledge and experience across a broad range of security disciplines.

The Security Institute

The Security Institute provides a programme that addresses the issue of professional validation for security professionals. The programme is designed to assess security management experience, academic qualifications, vocational qualifications and contributions to the security profession. It establishes an independent professional validation board, which will validate applications made by individuals seeking to attain a grading in the Security Institute.

The Institution of Engineering and Technology

Founded 140 years ago, the IET is one of the world’s leading professional societies for the engineering and technology community. The IET has more than 150,000 members in 127 countries, with active networks of members in 37 countries. To support its worldwide membership it has offices in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.

Dubai Police - Department of Protective Systems (DPS)

Department Of Protective Systems is a sub-department of Dubai Police General Head Quarters. It has been established by a verdict of his Excellency Dubai Police General Commander in December, 1999. The department specializes in regulation and supervision of security industry in Dubai; which was formed Pursuant to Dubai Local Law no. 13 of 2005 and the Federal Law No. 37 of 2006. SGW Emirates Dubai office is approved and registered with Dubai Police - Department of Protective Systems for Security consultations, studies and research for the purpose of the provision of security and technical solutions to secure the buildings and locations and related matters including the services of preparing the design, drawings, technical specifications, tender documents as well as follow up of the implementation and supervision thereof.
