2011 saw the official opening of Sandwell Homes alarm receiving centre, converged concierge and public space CCTV surveillance community safety centre which is one of SGW's largest consultancy and project management engagements to date.

From their new control room, Sandwell looks after 30,000 homes including 40 tower blocks using a combination of CCTV and intercom communications. They monitor the cameras for two nearby towns and the control room was built to BS5979 Cat 2 standards and will soon be monitoring intruder alarms as well.

The project incorporated convergence of eight former housing estate based concierge control rooms, resulting in an invest to save initiative which demonstrated improved efficiencies and quality of service.
